No hard feelings at all here. From what I have gathered so far alarm install all require the same thing(as far as connections). A good installer can make a cheap alarm work pretty good. But its only going to work as good as its features. Some things that take into account: sensitivity adjustment, sensor placements, alarm programming. Any info about code alarms that I mentioned before was from the installer I work with. He is very good and been doing it for 15 years or more. Maybe he is a little out of date but not by that much.

no worries boys, I just posted to show that they have "improved" their code grabbing technology.

this little guy :p would basically mean no harm no foul regarding this post.

you'll also notice I said I can only comment on this as this is the only one I have.

All in all, any alarm is better than no alarm.

PS. Code does OEM for General Motors, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Toyota and Volkswagen

I have a commando alarm (501-s for $50 it can\'t be beat laugh ) (don't laugh, i'm serious) and it works pretty well. I bought it mainly for the keyless entry and trunk popper, but it works great as an alram. the brain is very small and fit nicely concealed on top and behind the fuse box. Its impossible to see, you can only fit your hand back there. It was very easy to intall (only 10 wires to splice, the whole thing took only 3 hours) I taped the alarm harness to the ignition harness, and the wires are all mixed up..its extremely hard to tell which wires go from the fuse box to the iginition and which to the alarm, the shock sensor is actualy surprisingly sensitive also...any alarm will work great, just do your research and ask questions. A lot of people are more than happy to show off what they know.

Check out Directed Electronics . They make the Viper (I am happy with it) but also the types that wire into the stock system. Also, check out this sytem, DEI's Hornet System, connects to your present RKE and uses your existing remote...

Good luck

Clifford's are on the DEI site. DEI has 7 or 8 different systems.

Apparently DEI scrapped all the clifford models except the high end G4, which they are fine tuning my rep was telling me.
