All of today's F1 cars look alike. Ugly gets uglier. There might as well be a common spec car.
Compare these to the ones of the late 70s and 80s in particular. Those were some attractive , yet distinctive racers:
The Ferrari 312T4, 126C2, C3, C4; Bennetton B186, 187; March 871; Tyrell P34; Lotus 99T, McClaren MP4, Zakspeed 831 and many others.
You could certainly tell one make from the other.
IMO, I enjoy watching racing more when the cars are appealig to the eye, like the above or some of the Group C and GTP cars.
