Im looking for a mono-sub amplifier in the $200-250 range that will push around 200-350 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. Any suggestions very welcome.

Of those listed, the JBL amp would probably be the best bang for the buck. For me, it would be a toss-up between the MTX and Kicker amps. I haven't been very impressed with KW's products over the last couple of years. They seem to have dropped a notch in my book. I can't say I'm a fan of RF for any one reason (part looks, part value, part marketing, just never liked their whole vibe despite some good, but pricey, products). The Xtant amp specs out as a nice amp, but is a bit lacking in the looks department if you want some "show" in your system.

I guess after all that, the MTX amp would be the one I'd choose. I like the SmartEngage feature which eliminates the turn-on lead, good crossover/EQ features, and it'll probably put out significantly more than what it's rated at.

These amps will soon be discontinued so you can get them at a closeout price if you're lucky.

I was running a JBL 300.1 and an 80.2 for my mids, car sounded great, then I changed to the 600.1 and a 180.2 and I'm even more satisfied. Used MTX for all my systems previously, would have used them again but JBL offered me a great deal if I used only there product that's why I'm using also the Infinity speakers as you can see in my signature since JBL and Infinity are all part of Harmon International. What can I say I'm very satisfied with the JBL amps, great bang for the buck.
