I would first check the wiring of the harness (and of the amp bypass harness if ya got it), then go from there. It was the darndest thing... what goes wrong with a deck to cause that problem? No idea... maybe something screwed up for the fade/balance control within the deck. G/L though.
u can try cleaning the contacts on the unit and the face plate. people have that problem all the time at my work and pay over 100 bucks to fix it. but its prob the contacts. they could be dirty or dying...
