Please help where's my fuel filter? I know it's probably under the car on the left side or in the engine bay by the firewall. The other concern I'm having is I'm getting a jerking type acceleration at wot. It seems to be most apparent in 4th at about 4200 4300 rpm but there is a little in third as well. There's a few things I need to change as well that might be causing it but what do you guys think it could be.???

You should find the fuel filter under the right rear passenger door. Not hard to change. I removed the gas cap and released pressure from the system at the throttle body, and hardly spilled a drop.

Easy job, though, quite a few of gas flows though when you unplug the filter (filter has a bit of gas in it)

Yup. Real easy. I changed mine without even jacking up the car in about 5 minutes.

Tho the clamp around the fuel filter broke right off upon installation of the new one... so I couldnt drive the contour after putting a new fuel filter on
Though Installation of a new clamp was easy, just went to true value, bought a big hose clamp, and put it on

Yeah, I don't think duct tape would've worked in this case...

You should change your spark plug wires also. Sounds like what happened to mine.

On the side note... I have a few things for my zetec that I'm selling. bousch ultra premium plug wires and 4 douple plat champion spark plugs. Neither of them have more thatn 5k on them. New coil pack also. If ANYONE needs to fix ANYTHING on their zetec then give me a call. I have got offered CRAP for this car and I've already made more money selling TWO parts than I got offered for the entire damn car! I have taken damn good care of her and she deserves the right to give life to a contique on the edge. I'm going to repost this in the classifieds but please, I really don't want to trash her. EVERYTHING must go!

What's the best source for fuel filters?

Is that the right part # and are there any aftermarket "performance" ones?
