i get a flashing check engine light once in a while but its steady the rest of the time. i go-t the codes for a random misfire and also for a misfire on each cylinder!! i replaced the spark plugs and i ordered new plug wires that should be here wednesday. what else could be the problem? by the way its a duratec and the plugs were bosch dbl plats. and my car has 90K (1998 SE)

The Bosch plugs could explain your problem. Try a set or Autolite double platinum. You will be much happier with them.

yea i was gonna pick up some of those motorcraft thinwire ones or whatever as soon as i get my tax return

90% of the people i have talked to say the sparkplugs just go bad to fast..to some it seems like they have even lost power.....thnink of it this way...if you get a +2 or +4 plug, the spark is still only going to go to the cleanes prong with the most metal showing...so you think you using all 4 but in actuallity as time passes, you just using one.


Some call the fake plugs...I call them a waste of money...Get Motorcraft or Autolite Double Plats like suggested above....thats all i sue and im completly happy with them.
