Hmmm...I went through a rubber grommet on the fire wall without removing anything (besides the rubber plug, of course). I believe my wires came out more near the clutch than the gas peddal. I have my amp power wire (4 gauge I believe) going through there with no problems. Actually, now that I think of it I don't know if I actually removed the plug, I may have just cut a x in it to feed the wire through and still be sealed from the outside.
