i just got my 2nd amp , but my HU only has one set of preouts, is there any problem w/ using splitters?

Yes there will be a slight loss in signal if you split it, but you won't notice it without special test equipment.

The loss is not even worth mentioning. It is a low level signal, it certainly will not be audible in a car.

I doubt it would make a big difference to split it. Obviously there will be a signal loss because you are running two amps in series (off the same input signal) which results in a voltage drop across the two loads (amps) but the whole point of a car amp is to increase the gain so you should be good.
