At 44th and 6th is a $24 day parking garage called the Hippodrome.
It is cheaper than most of the lots around the 60's. It is not a bad walk if the weather is nice.
There is parking around Radio City, at a slightly higher cost. (58th, 57th street and 6th ave area). A little closer but more money.
Just accept the inevitable and pay to park. It is cheaper than being towed and a bit more secure. Just don't leave valuable in the car. Parking attendants are usually honest, but why try and find out which ones aren't.
