I actually could almost swear I had an Aux set of preouts back there. Otherwise How could I hook up a CD changer, and I know it does that?

They may not be line level adjustable preamps outputs.

Anyway let me know, as I would really like to do this but I'd hate to have to use anything which would decrease the quality.

Sorry, no AUX inputs on the C90. You're probably thinking of the 3 pairs of pre-amp outputs or the optical digital output. There's nothing on the input side.

The changer has its own special plug. It's like 10 or 12 pins and looks nothing like an AUX input.

I guess you could get something like this memory stick player, which the C90 will recognize as a CD changer. But, you've got to deal with the whole memory stick crap instead of having a huge hard drive.

There are probably some other options out there that will let you switch the signal source for your amps, which would be like having 2 HU's if you added the Neo or Empeg. But, that'll just add more equipment and makes the system pretty difficult to control. I'd probably go some other route.

BTW, an FM modulator will probably have less of a SQ sacrifice than you think. I'd say when properly set up, the audible difference would be very small. I've heard a few FM modulated changers that I was pretty impressed with.

Can't you explain how the FM modulation will work? I'm not too familiar with it and I was just guessing at it not being very SQ oriented.

I did actually look at that Sony add on unit, and its just not what I'm looking for. Plus I really don't want to deal with the Sony mem stick like you said.

The FM Modulator plugs in-line with the antenna lead to your HU. It generates its signal on a set FM frequency. The one at www.partsexpress.com (part number 205-215) generates a signal at either 88.7 or 89.1 on the FM band. You tune your radio to the appropriate station to listen to whatever you're piping into the modulator on its RCA inputs (TV Audio, CD Changer, mp3 player, whatever).

Ahh I see....thats what I figured but I wasn't quite sure how you tuned in.

I guess it wouldn't be a totally terrible solution.

ALthough something similar to the MusicKeg would be ideal. I wish it was so damn expensive!

One of my computer friends in NY tells me that a 10g hard drive will hold about 130 hours of music.

I have about 300 cd of various weird and strange tunes. Will look up that link, and add it to my 'favorites' list.
