Oh GOD that gromit that routs all the electrics to the door it a PAIN to replace if running entire new wire to the speakers but that would be the best thing to do, I WOULDn't use any of the factory wire - I had a 97 F150 and found 4 capacitators hard-wired inline with the speaker wires ( sinse these 6x8s don't have tweeters ) to cross out any highs above 15k. If you can find this and remove it wouldn't be that bad but that would suck to not have your spkrs not living there full potential -
