My 99SE ATX can't keep up with a LoCoZ modded ATX Zetec. But my 95 SE MTX has no problem at all. The mtx always helps, its makes the zetec put down damn near the same numbers at the Duratec with an ATX.


We need to race again in a week or so....some stuff coming in the mail...I may not win....but if I can keep up...

Well as should be odvious the V6 spanks the 4cyl in stock form. At least from my 2 cars that was the story. Then I started modding the v6. Now no contest period. Go Figure. As was also said the V6 sounds much nicer.


Green 96 mystique gs 4cyl mtx 16.9 in the 1/4 mile @102500 miles 95SE in Midnight Red MTX MSDS headers and y-pipe SVT exhaust SVT UIM Optimized se TB. Full pre 98 SVT body kit 15.741 @ 87.73mph :)

I once ran 3 wide with my car, a 99 cougar mtx v6 with intake and exhaust, and a stock 95 zetec mtx contour, I won of course but the contour kept up decently with the cougar...none were match for the SVT *bowdown*

First car was a ATX Zetec. Second car is a ATX Duratec. No contest, even with all the crap I did to the Zetec, the Duratec blows it away right off the dealer lot. Now add a short ram intake and it's a whole new car.
