Yea, I've put one of those in. It was in my dad's '97 Corolla. No, you don't need to drill any holes except for maybe running wires. The part on the solenoid that has the bolts wraps around one of your trunk frames, and then you tighten down the bolts. Then find a place on the latch to hook up the metal cable too. Give it just a touch of slack so it doesn't pop your trunk with every bounce of the car. There's should be a little nut looking thing that has a hex screw in it. Thread the metal cable through it and tighten then hex. Oh yea, and don't use that little 3 way wire tapper thing. They're the crappiest thing that anyone has ever invented. Typically, they'll work for a while, and then they'll start to corrode, or just break all together.
