So it sounds like the problem was with the fan not coming on when it should. If forcing the fan to stay on made the temperature stay low, the problem must have been with the fan or fan controllers. If the fan is running as it should be, and the engine is still overheating, then the problem is with the radiator or coolant or water pump. I still don't buy the idea that zetecs like to run hot. If they do, then that must mean that they were designed to do so, and not all zetecs run hot. My contour doesn't. My mystique did when the resistor was burned out and the fan wasn't running.
