I just ordered a Nakamichi CD-40z, i was wondering iffin someone could recommand some good speakers... I'm still using stock, but want something better.. I prefer country music, but my girlfriend enjoys classical... Can anyone recommend some good speakers?? By the way, does anyone know iffin the Nakamichi stereos light up pretty good at night? reason i'm asking is the last deck I purchased the lights were soooo dim it was hard to see them.. Anyway thanks alot!

i'll give you 5-stars just because you have a cool name - just use the search key and look for "speaker" in the audio forum...

there are LOTS AND LOTS of threads on this...

enjoy! and welcome to CEG!

I have owned my Nak for over a year.. and I have two comments..

1. It now only reads CD-R's burned to Audio CD media
2. The radio blows donky.. D@@k. Reception is very bad. Stock was better

Other than that, the sound is great. Running Boston Rallys front with no amp.

I have owned a CD40 and recently upgraded to a CD40z. The tuner section has been zero problem for me in either unit. Standard CD's are magical. I run the NAK into some Nak subs and then a/d/s speakers. Read more about it here .
