I was quoted about the same price, although with a spec stage II. It hasn't failed yet, but the pedal is starting to ride pretty high. So, spring break I'm clearing out the garage and doing it myself. I just can't see spending $1000 on labor. Plus, I'm going to do the flywheel and syncros as well as the clutch, maybe even an lsd(about the same price for the clutch and labor alone). I'll keep you all posted once I turn the wrench.
