Sorry I know we have a million threads on this but I can't quite seem to get a clear picture on exactly what I'm supposed to do + i'm stupid. There are two connectors that go into the amp., one (the larger one) goes out to all four speakers, the second (small square one) goes to the cd-player/radio/deck (which is referred to as the head-unit right?). Now then, is the bypass harness supposed to connect both of these connectors together? Or is the harness supposed to connect just to the larger connector (the one that goes out to all four speakers) and I then snake the colored mess of speaker wires behind the dash to my radio where they are then attached to my radio harness (and the small square wire is just completly avoided at this point)? Or do I have no clue?
Thanks,

The bypass...it was quite a while ago when I did it.

It essentially connects the speaker wires from the head unit to the connector that goes out of the amp. Its a wide connector on my 99 Mystique w/Premium Sound. Six pins on the bottom, and two above the outer left and right ones.

It is sort of L-shaped.
On the head unit side (the angle in the 'L'), whatever fits the HU.
Right by that (about a foot at the foot of the 'L'), the connector for the vehicle harness (power, ignition, ground, antenna, etc.).
On the other end (after about 3 feet of wires at the top of the 'L'), the 8-pin connector for the door speakers.

You can tear out the old head unit, the harness that connects it to the 'premium' amp, and the premium amp and not be missing anything important. I'd recommend using them to target practice if you are out in the country. If you are in the city, it might be fun to see if you can get them to hang from a tree like an old pair of shoes (I'm not sure if the amp is heavy enough for this to work--heck, it barely weighs more than the old harness). Or, if they don't work any worse than when they were new, you could sell them on eBay.
