What timing chain set-up are you using, the older larger 10mm? I would assume so with the SVT cams. Is it a PITA to modify the lower end of the 01 engine to use the larger older sprokets?
The rule is, if you're using skinny chains, use skinny sprockets, adjusters, and slides. Thick chains use thick adjusters, slides, and sprockets. The older sprockets slide right on the end of the crank just as the thin ones do. No mods needed.
