I think any connection above 10mbit is useless, your friend's computer probably has so many bottlenecks in busses, the NIC, hard drive, etc. All of those devices are so much slower than the internet connection.

dude i hate sbc dsl, they dont know what they are doing. Yesterday my friend was having dsl installed on her computer that i built for her. The stupid tech calls me from her house and tells me " hey man the software isnt loading" im like what do you mean its not loading, he was like "i dont know it just wont load, i dont know what to do so i called you" lets just say that the dumba$$ tech started blaming me for the system not loading the software, then all of a suddden he goes ooops sorry forgot to check some check boxes bye!

dsl here. Took quite a while. It's basic dsl i.e. cheapest. Man did you actually pay $ for the wheels on that SVT?

Thats not the company, thats the stupid tech. I get great customer service over the phone, but I installed everything myself. I don't need some moron screwing up my desktop when I can screw it up just as good if not better than they can!

His connection is split through three to five computers at a time. He definitely noticed the speed increase after purchasing it.
