I have the SHO Shop shield on my Sport (not the SVT). Funny thing is, I've been pushing my Sport past 4000rpm less and less now that I have the SVT (for longevity's sake; its my daily driver and has to be reliable). Now, I'm nowhere near the level of knowledge and testing as someone like DemonSVT or Big Jim, but I can say that the shield does seem to help a little. The problem in an ATX vehicle (I would assume its the same in the MTX only to a lesser degree) is that the shield offers absolutely no protection against hot air rising up from the tranny or from the front of the bay. I would be willing to bet I'm still getting a good amount of heatsoak from the CD4E alone. In that case, the "Rubbermaid Custom" is probably a better bet since you can "wrap" it around the intake and have it pull cooler air in from the fender.

They don't 'rip you off'. Their Customer service is average-below average. Also, the SS BBB reports are reportedly from a previous venture Vadim did for the Grand Prix back in the day...although I'm sure SS has some reports with the BBB As well.....
