You add four quarts after getting fluid out. Secondly you dont pull a plug, you have to remove all the bolts for the pan.
Do it so three sides are off complety then remove the fourth side, less mess.
You must have a torque wrench to reinstall the bolts. I think it is 18 foot pounds.
