Same problem with my 96 Contour GL drivers side power windows I put it down one day and it would not go back up just made a clicking nosie.But just the drivers side window all the other windows work when contorled by the main driver side switch. I took the gray cover off, pulled out the switch i little bit then turn the switch a little bit towards the hood while holding in the up button then all of the sudden the drivers window went up. It was wierd since all i did was up the swicth while holding in the drivrs side up button then it went up. So what i did was turned the switch once around. drivers side window works and it never happened again. I know twisting the wires did not seem like a good idea for me but it worked. This happen to me about 3yrs ago. So since then the power windows work great.
