I would look for something with a +45mm offset or so. You may be able to get away with +40mm, but I wouldn't go much below that.

For a 225 section width, I'd TRY to find a 7.5" wide wheel at least. 7" will work, but the sidewalls will bulge a little, I had 215/45/17s on my last 17x7.5 wheels and the tires looked perfect for that width.

If you go too narrow on the wheel, the sidewalls will bulge and this will promote sidewall flex and tire rollover.
