I ordered some new speakers and they should be delivered tommorow. I was wondering, are the door panels on the svt's a pain in the ass to remove? I used to have a nissan maxima that I did most of the stereo install on myself, and the door panels were very easy to remove. I just no I wont have too much time on my hands, but if it's a fairly easy removal I'll have at it. Thx

A couple screws on the front edge, a couple on the bottom, then a couple hidden in the center strip in the door grab and then two under plastic snap covers one of which is in the back of the door release area. Not too hard to take off, at least theres no damn plastic push tabs!

I replaced both my speakers yesterday, so let me give some advice.

The sail panel has a plug with a screw behind it. Both of mine were near impossible to remove. I used double sided tape, and even superglued a wooden peg to it to pull it out. One came off in this way, and the other didn't. Finally I carefully drilled through it and now need a new plug. So be warned.

Also, I don't have power door locks or windows (so your's may be different), but the plastic cup that sits behind the door pull on a '95 is very thin and easy to break.

Another thing to watch out for is the bulb on the lower corner lights. The wire can be short, so if you pull off the door panel you'll break the wires to the bulb housing. So remove the door screws and then pry that corner off and get your fingers behind the bulb and twist and pull it out.
