Have a search on Taurusclub.com for this problem. It's non-existent in the 3.0L Duratec's stock form.
You mean the 3L Duratec with 2 extra head drain holes that drop straight into the pan plus the same angle drain shared by both blocks.
Then you have to think about the fact that the ATX Taurus likely never sees above 6200rpm often; if ever even.
I do not see what is so surprising there.
