You mean the 3L Duratec with 2 extra head drain holes that drop straight into the pan plus the same angle drain shared by both blocks.

Then you have to think about the fact that the ATX Taurus likely never sees above 6200rpm often; if ever even.


I do not see what is so surprising there.

Wow no way I'd put that much in it. Thanks for the feedback guys. Disappointing as it was I kind of knew it was coming. You're making it sound like she's toast already. At least it's working for now or I'd probably be screwed. I'm just glad I did'nt blow it right then 600 miles from home. I guess it will be 3L time sooner or later.
