Three years ago, I wouldn't either. But they've really turned around since then. Entirely different company. One of the founders bought the company out and took it private then hired a kickass CEO.

The parts that eMachines uses in this machine are pretty decent.. screen by LG, pointing device by Synaptics, optical drive by Toshiba, video by ATI... If I were in the market for a laptop, this one would probably be towards the top of my list (Powerbook would probably be at the top )
