If you are on a budget I like my Pioneer speakers. They are made to fit for ford by Pioneer. I have the TS-A6865 3-ways up front and TS-A6855 2-way in the back. At 52 watts from my sony HU they are loud enough for me. You are looking at $100 for the 3-ways and $70 or so for the 2-ways. Look around because I found the 2-ways at Wal Mart for $60, that was the best price I found on them

Buy some tweeters and Drivers at Madisound, and a crossover,,,for 120 bucks you can have a heck of a speaker system. Let me tell ya, once you put those tweeters a little higher, you wont miss the back speakers...i would recommend Vifa tweeters and midd/bass,,,or Peerless

I think 3 way speakers are a waste. The mid drivers are as small as tweeters,,,,just messes it all up. more crossover issues (filters in most cases)....I would think two way components is the best way to go.

I just started with my system. I just want something that is nice sounding and i need a good start. I heard good things about the pioneer TS-A6855 speakers. What size speakers will fit in a 95 contour front door? I think i have the deck and sub picked out. I checked out that www.etronics.com website, and its not working for me. It keeps giving me a broken link when i try going to the car electronics section.

If anyone is looking for some used Pioneer 6865's I'll be removing mine shortly. I've got two pairs. Never abused, always high passed at about 80hz. Never the less, one has a slight problem. So really there are three good ones. It would be perfect to install a pair up front, and have one still as a spare.
I'll make someone a good deal to get them out of here. Contact me via email and we'll make some arrangements.
