Well you guys get too touchy...Of course I know that I will have to upgrade gas when I go F.I..DUH! But till then its 87 for me. Also I will independant this year so I will get about 3K to help with bills each quarter for school so I'll have plenty to go turbo. I know that the warranty doesnt cover that so really I'm not going to touch the engine at all for at least 20k which would be next year. And a base ecotec beating an SVT in the 1/4! You just have no idea about track racing obviously. A base cavy probably weight 700lbs less then the SVT. With no traction problems the 60' time will be won by the BASE cavy every time. My SVT 60' times sucked. I usally ran a 2.4 but sometimes a 2.3. Thats sucks in track terms. I've seen a few Cavy's run 2.1, 2.0 track time with o.k drivers. Just driving my car around I can already tell the 60' is way faster in cavy. I will admit that it would never hang in the top gears with the SVT but by the time the SVT gets going in the quarter its to late. Come-on SVT's are not unbeatable. And with a lighter car its much easier. I guess I'll find out in march when track season starts
