not the one i looked at...
the cutout for the scoop doesn't penetrate the underside of the hood, unless they've changed things since i popped the hood on an '03 a few months back.
They're all functional, it doesn't look the same as the evos does on the bottom, the scoop sorta continues to near the back of the hood and has two openings.
And how is the evo the best performing car for the money? Unless ~$30-$40k is what you have to spend, there are plenty of better performing cars for more money, but they'd be the best performing,, like a viper,,, though over the viper would be a modified 03 cobra. I'd rather buy some used car and make it fast as/faster than an evo,,, even if it wasn't as fast, atleast it would look better.

I really like the comment about it being as quick (don't agree about "fast") as it is ugly... Absolutely Excellent point!!!
It is really an awesome performing platform bar none. (I have driven previous versions in Japan ) Too bad that is took the way of the WRX (driven a previous version on that too ) and when it moved from the JDM to US market it got stupid looking in the process. I agree that they did a great disservice to the platform in doing so...
It's still a Mitsu, the Srt4 is still a Neon,
And my contour will own all of them this summer, the slap down 400HP BEAST!!!!
I just thought I'd interject amongst the sh%t flinging, this is fun though. . .
I park next to a Red Evo 8 everyday, some prick Med Student got it for graduation from his daddy after he finished UT. . .at any rate, he has a BLACK CF hood on a Red Evo 8, now what's bloody ballsy if you ask me. . .
He won't let me test drive it either. THat's why he's a prick. ANOTHER REASON to boost my baby.

Yea... well... my setup right now is the bilstein/intrax setup and is very tolerable... smooth even. But, I really appreciate a car that I can drive hard in, that I don't slide all over the seat, and the bumps don't rattle my teeth loose. It corners way more flat than my contour, the seats - while firm - are quite comfortable, and noise from bumps doesn't really make it into the cabin. I'd call it comfortably firm.
