not the one i looked at...
the cutout for the scoop doesn't penetrate the underside of the hood, unless they've changed things since i popped the hood on an '03 a few months back.
for what it's worth, i actually like the looks of the evo... <shrug>
to each their own, i say. no sense arguing about what someone likes or doesn't like - looks are totally subjective, and arguing over whether it's ugly or not is about the most moronic thing i've seen on here in a long time.

why do people have to do silly things like that and endanger other people's health and life. No doubt he is having fun, but being oblivious to his surroundings and having other peoples lives at stake should be the last resort. what a retard!
On a side note, I like the STI and EVO both for looks and performance any day better than a ricer.

I thought looks didn't matter to me. I mean, some of my favorite cars are butt-ugly to most people (Merkur, Alfa Milano, maybe even my Contour...). I really started looking at the Evo and the STi, but I couldn't get jazzed up about them. Then I figured out that for the same price, or less, I could get an RWD G35 Sedan with a 6-speed, sport suspension, and LSD. That car ignited automotive passions in me that I haven't felt for a new car since, well, 1995. Yeah, the mitsu and subie drivers would likely beat me at the track, but the rest of the year I'd have a more satisfying street car. Guess I'm getting older. Just wish I could get the "G" with less "stuff." Bob Kulstad, you're the first reviewer I've ever read who called the Evo "comfortable."
Function before fashion.
