i had a chance to drive an evo late last summer. very nice. handles about how my wrx does (but better) on coil-overs. rides about as harsh too. the car rags have not over-exageratted about the steering, its incredible. very quick, very responsive, feels like its connected physically to your brain stem.
power was also wonderful. the power delivery has the same lag-boost feel that my wrx has, only once it hits the proper rpm it spools fast, like a lightswitch, wheras a wrx seems to creep up to full boost eventually.
in all if you dont mind (or like) the looks you'll be rewareded with an excellent driving machine. If you dont mind spartan interiors go with the evo instead of the s4.
