Looks are subjective, but with some of the skins that are being wrapped around imports these days (the EVO being one of them), it's got Ray Charles turning away in disgust...
I'm a package person. It's got to have looks and performance. I'll never deny that the SRT-4 or the Mitsu EVO don't have a distinctive performance advantage over many cars in the same class, but why in the hell do they have to look like roadkill with a steering wheel and gas tank sat on top of it?
I certainly believe an 'Tour SVT has a cleaner, better look about it than an SRT-4 and CERTAINLY a Mitsu EVO. Unless you are packing a turbo or one HELL of a 3L on the 'Tour, comparing performance aspects of these three is a torrid joke.
I'm up sh!t creek with this entire belief structure right now because Cadillac went and dropped the LS6 in the CTS, (i.e., the CTS-V) put some nice wheels on it and "sexed" it up a bit. It certainly needed it from a number of angles, though I'm on the verge of shoving some of my aestetic sensibilities out the window because I KNOW what these V-8's are capable of and what kind of aftermarket is available for them...
I guess there are some cars I'd push aestetics to the side on, but ths SRT-4 or the EVO?
Nah. Some things are just too stinking ugly in my opinion.
