Why those two tires? There are much better performing tires available than either of those for that price. Just curious, not flaming ya.

He's probably going for looks instead of performance.

From what I understand the Parada spec 2'ss wear out real quick (ex. 30K miles) I have no personal experince with them except for installing them on a few cars. I personally am running a Hancook Ventus sport K104 tire 215/35/18 And I think they are great I would recomend those, you can get them through Discount tire Co. They are resonable priced too.

Well, actually the Spec-2 Paradas are getting really good reviews on Tire Rack. I was going off the reviews of the original Paradas, they were horrible.
That's a tough size. If you go 225/35/18, then you are looking at $154 for Paradas and you can get Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s on closeout in that size at Tire Rack for $160/ea. Just for reference, Tire Rack rates the Eagle F1 GS-D3s higher than the almighty Bridgestone Pole Position S-03s for max performance summer tires. $160/ea is a screaming deal. Look around, Toyo T1-Ss are right on par with either the F1s or S-03s and are the lightest max performance tire I've found.
Hope some of this helps.

Scorchers suck, I have the parade spec II and they are really not that bad, although with my new set of tires I will be going with pole positions.

That is not how I'd interpet this test results graph: Bridgestone-Goodyear-Michelin But I would say it looks like a winner from a dollar stand point.. .. then there is the new Bridgestone Potenza RE050 .. I think this will be my next set..

The Yok's look awesome IMO. My local tire shop pushed me on to Toyo Proxys FZ4 and I'm very glad I listened. Price was right, performance is exceptional, no problems with wear and even in the snow they are great.
goodluck!
