Today I bought a 1996 contour from Ft Meyers FLA advertised on ebay with only 22,154 miles
96 contour (ebay) . It was owned by a retired couple who traded it in for a new Lexus. I waited until the auction ended (reserve not met), called the seller and made a happy deal. They are shipping it to VA and I should receive it within two weeks.
This is the second time I've bought a car sight unseen through ebay. The first time turned out very well ("retired" 1999 Crown Vic Police Interceptor) and I hope this time does as well.
Low mileage used cars can be terrific bargains!
Now I have to get busy ordering headers, lowering springs, intake, Aussie bar, dual exhaust... (Unless you're an enthusiast)
