I used Autozone Lifetime Warranty wires on the '95 Contour, the '96 Contour, and the '88 Mustang.

Magnecor wires are better, but at over twice the price, they should be.

I actually had Magnecor wires on the '95 Contour and the boots developed carbon tracking damage from the crud transferred to the sparkplug insulators from my spark plug socket.

I've been meaning to call Magnecor and check if they'll replace or fix them.

Now I clean the spark plug socket out before replacing any plugs!

Thanks everyone. I decided to go with Magnecor's since I found them for $104.99 + $10 shipping. The no warranty on the FMS's + the shrinking issues I read scared me out from buying them.

I have the Magnecor's on my 1995 and they worked great but I thoght I got more AM Radio interference than with the stock wires but it may just be that I have a bad ground somewhere. Has any one used the Accel wires? I am changing the plugs and wires on my 98 SVT.

Magnacore wires are so exceptionally shielded and retain complete current flow that you can not pick up an rpm signal through them.

Not that I think Accel makes wires for our application but they are also low quality wires to boot (I.E. like Taylor wires)

I've had Ford Motorsport wires for 2-3 years without a problem.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I have Accel wires on my '98 SVT, but I just ordered the Magnecors from SP Motorsports. I have an electrical gremlin that presents itself every summer when the car get's hot (ie engine), and I think the Accel wires are the cause (no proof). But the wires have over 60K miles on them, so I think they're due for a change. SP want's 105.95 plus 8 bucks to ship. Good deal in my book.

Damn, when I looked there the chart said $119, but when I clicked "buy now" they came up $105.95.

If I knew that, I would have bought them from there. Live and learn I guess.
