is the front cover seal the same as the front crank seal???

the reason im asking is because 'front crank seal' was listed in a rundown of parts i may need to repair my engine

the exploded view of the engine i found doesn't list a front crank seal, but does list a 'front cover seal'

if these are not the same, does anyone know of another name for the front crank seal???

I doubt it. To me,'front cover seal' possibly sounds like it could be for the timing chain cover. Could you be thinking of the 'main seal'?

Same thing.

It is the seal in the front cover where the snout of the crank sticks through and the damper/pulley is pressed onto.
