I didn't know a funnel shape increased flow! Velocity yes, well depending on how far the muffler is back, maybe not... So you're saying you have a 2.5" pipe going into a 2" cherry bomb, an Aerochamber muffler, then glasspack?....That sounds like it "flows" about as much as a sealed tailpipe.

all true duals have to be custom made.

3. (unlike magnaflo which splits exhaust gas up)
4. To cap it off I have a dual outlet glass pack tip to help out with some back pressure, but I think it ran better without it.
5. Do Your Homework. I work in the automobile industry so I get to do my homework on this stuff everyday at my job... Not to mention with input from ASE certified techs and a couple of techs who race. (one Pro-street and one Super gas)
1. ALL cherry bombs use a louvered core. No question.
2" diameter!!! You just flamed yourself better then I could have.
2. To increase velocity you would have to increase restriction. Especially at the end of the exhaust piping. I will admit I mistook the Aerochamber for Edelbrock's RPM series. The Aerochamber design does not look "terrible" like I stated.
I'd still recommend a straight through design that does not increase restriction though.
3. Say what? I suggest looking at the design of a MagnaFlow. You are completely off base! It's a straight through design which is the best for overall power production.
4. 'nuff said.
5. Oh that is rich. You are the one who's really in denial here. Your claim to fame is the perfect topper.
Your exhaust isn't crush bent by any chance is it???
Well I guess Stazi & I must be completely off our rocker then. What were we thinking building the best designed exhaust systems using quality parts over substandard parts. Silly us...
BTW - Check out this exhaust web page.

Seat of the pants said the midrange was better. Airflow numbers agree. Top end airflow peaks a little sooner but on average not any higher. Again good news.
I find myself doing a lot more midrange passing (3000-5000rpm) in 3rd. 1st and 2nd are absolutely deadly at any rpm. Traction is pretty much a moot point even with all the upgrades. (or perhaps because of them too. )
Sound quality is so much better I can not put it into words. It's the best sounding Duratec exhaust I have heard to date. From idle to redline it's a symphony of deep burbles and wide open growls. Minus the moderate start up rasp which is due to the tremendous velocity - headers, no cats, and pipes straight back. (I.E. my piping length is about half the stock routing & 1/5 the total bends )
It's also significantly quieter when cruising which is always a bonus.
