I didn't know a funnel shape increased flow! Velocity yes, well depending on how far the muffler is back, maybe not... So you're saying you have a 2.5" pipe going into a 2" cherry bomb, an Aerochamber muffler, then glasspack?....That sounds like it "flows" about as much as a sealed tailpipe.
