Except...

1. 2.5" downpipes (Y-pipe off the manifolds) is KILLING velocity as it is serious overkill. Major power losses there.
2. Cherry bombs have louvered cores
3. Aerochamber mufflers sacrifice performance and velocity for sound quality by splitting the airflow and then re-merging it

That's the proverbial 3 deadly strikes in exhaust inefficiency.
Definitely NOT flowing like crazy!

PLEASE do not pretend the Duratec sounds anything like a V8. It is "physically" impossible and I love the way the Duratec sounds.

I may not have explained properly I dunno... Stock mans, pre-cats, and y-pipe. Then 2.5 pipe to the Cherry Bomb (perforated not louvered I.D. is only 2") and so on back to the muffler. The Aerochamber muffler looks like a funnel inside, so in theory should increase velocity.(unlike magnaflo which splits exhaust gas up) To cap it off I have a dual outlet glass pack tip to help out with some back pressure, but I think it ran better without it. I will admit fuel economy took a bit of a dive... but hey its only fuel. As for sound, I believe I said "it almost sounds like a V8", you're entitled to like what you like. I'm not pretending anything. Do Your Homework. I work in the automobile industry so I get to do my homework on this stuff everyday at my job... Not to mention with input from ASE certified techs and a couple of techs who race. (one Pro-street and one Super gas)
