Scam: You get a very funny video that many many people will enjoy watching. You put this video on your website and advertise it everywhere (you don't think some random visitor of raptors-lair or whatever found this and posted it everywhere, do you?). In a few days, you take the video down and ask for some kind of donation on that link. By that time, you have hundreds of thousands of people visiting that link, and hundreds of thousands of people see your request for a donation.

It's more than likely that a lot of people thought the owner of the website was the owner of the car, felt sorry for him, and donated money.

I just thought it was very suspicious that he had a request for dontation right on that screen that thousands of people are now viewing. Perhaps scam is an inapproprate term. I'm thinking "genius entrepreneurship" would be more fitting.
