Earthquake D2 (500.00)
16 Dayton Thrusters wired into a 1ohm load giving each one of the daytons 250 watts.

What would u suggest on a $3k budget, SQ being the main goal?

Same speakers and amp. (900.00)
another one of the same amps. (350.00)
Sony CDX-C90 (800.00)
Sony XDP-4000EQ (1000.00)

Triamp the front components with the built in active crossovers from the sony EQ.

You could substitute the Pioneer DEX-P9 and DEQ-P9

Oh absolutely. The CDX-C90 not only one of my favorites, it has one of the best track records in the competition circuits. Their DSP/Crossover/EQ unit is arguably the best of its kind.
