Sounds like we have some interest. Let me check out the different rates and see what I can find. I was thinking about the Guadalupe Outpost in New Braunfels. It has rooms, a camping area and it is on the river. Some of the rooms have kitchenettes.

I'm down!!! I try to go every year and 2004 will be no exception. I went on July 4th weekend 2003 and it was insane! We took 11 cars full of people and partied down.
Good times.

that there are. however, rudy's is the first you see leaving the area and even though it's chain, they're still pretty good.

For those of you who aren't familiar with this, there are several places you can tube, some more rustic than others. The Comal is one of the less rustic ones. It runs right by Schlitterbahn. One float takes about 1.5 hours, and you can ride a shuttle back to do it again.

The Guadalupe is a little longer, around 4.5 hours if you do the whole thing. It's bigger and when I went, less crowded than the Comal, and a little closer to nature. Usually there's only enough time for one float. When the sun gets low, it gets chilly fast.

Guad has a couple rapids, while the Comal is more relaxed and mostly people watching. It depends on what you're in the mood for but either way it's a good time.

I'm sure I'll be in the mood for laying in the middle of a rubber and drinking beer all day. So pick one for me, Obiwan.
