Well my rims & Tires (Excel 17" TZ-15's w/Khumo Exsta 711's) arrived yesterday and do they look good, but they blew it on two things. First the tires were I thought supposed to be 215X45's but 215X40's (minor problem). The second thing ain't making me a happy camper. The lug nuts they sent are regular 19mm hex (3/4" across, point to point) and the holes in the rims are only 7/8" in diameter, no way my socket would fit.

So I take my butt down to Les Schwabs and inquire as to a solution to my prob. I end up with tuner lugs, they work just fine until it comes time to put the center caps and damn the lugs are too long. I called Wheel Max and the broad says the lugs they sent are correct I just need a very thin wall socket, yeh right in town of about 5k bodies (I did try though.)

So now I have to bleed more green to get the tuner lugs shortened. And to top it all off they cut the price another C note from last weeks price.

the impact sockets shops use have a very thin wall. Is that what you tried looking for?

Were you expecting 45's, I'd say something to fill the gap it looks like your going to have with the shorter tires.

What suspension are you running?

OMFG! I just caught that,...40 series with a 17"er!! You're going to need some ground controls to cover that gap!!

I actually just bought the set today off the snap-on truck. It gives you two flip sockets and a 3" extension for like 50 bucks, I need it since my firestone is in a very popular area for dubs and shiznit yo... anyways, sears or sears hardware should carry them for a fairly cheap price

Well dudes & dudettes $80 later and my center caps are on. Went over to the machine shop this morning and started by taking 2 lugs off each wheel, they wrote up a little program for the CNC machine and lopped about 9/16" off the end of the lugs. He did the first 2 then I blitzed out and put them on and took 2 off and ran them in. I kept up with him until the last 2, he had to wait for them, but now it's done and they do look sweet. As soon as the weather lightens up I'll wash her up, take some pics and post'em.

The fella down at the Schwab store said they carry Khumo's, I'm gonna see if'n we can do a swapzy with me paying the diff and get some taller meat on those rims. Right now it looks like she has a major case of 4X4itis.
