I agree, putting that kind of extra boost into a car that was not designed for it is just ASKING for trouble...

I would agree with you on buying a foreign car, while they are not always more reliable than fords they definitely have better customer service. I have yet to be impressed by a ford dealerships service, while my friend who drives a 330CI has great service from his dealer and my dad has excellent service from his lexus dealership. It seems to me that the foreign car companies appreciate their customers more, but as far as reliability it is the luck of the draw.

I know someone that would be all over that rear bumper for the right price. Might help you with that big financial hole you put yourself in by not having full coverage on a vehicle you owed money on.

Man that blows......but yeah if I were you and you had no other options, I would start parting the car out.....I know of a few things I would like to get my hands on, but again sorry for your loss.

As far as the insurance goes, he probably could have found away around it, especially if it was Ford Credit.....and as far as German/Japanese cars are concerned they can be worse than American cars.....the whole 'American's make junk' has been disproved through JD Powers and so on, and as far as customer service is concerned, alot of automakers leave quite a bit to be desired (and I speak from experience after owning both a Mazda and an Audi).
