Don't you know foreign cars can also be unreliable and also have a great deal of problems? A co-worker had his 99 Passat at 40k literally drop parts onto the street as he drove. A few of the X5s, when first released, caught on fire due to shoddy installation? Ford announces their mistakes/problems to the world, while other manufacturers keep it silent.

Don't blame Ford for what happened. It looks like the professional you used for the Nitrous install was a fu<kwit! There's been a fare share of Contours with Nitrous kits on them that have not had that happened, so get off your soap box. I have a Turbo on mine and it hasn't burst into flames. I also find it hard to believe that you car didn't have the SVT brakes on it. I think you are confused in that it was an E1 which means the rotors are bigger than a regular Contour but it had the regular Contour pads on it(just with bigger brackets). Only the E0's had different pads. I find it hard to believe that the dealer would downsize the brakes for no reason. You son...are uniformed and impressionable. Sorry to see your car burn to the ground, but your statements make yo nothing but an

nah i would still much rather go with bmw or lexus over any cars out there right now... any cars that i can afford any ways.... i know bmw has their own problems and ive heard about the x5's, but from my understanding they did do a recall on that. one of my good friends had a 01 330ci in manual trans.... car not only looked great, handled great, and had great performance but never gave him any problems. im not tryin to be rude or nothing or get any one pissed but i just dont trust for no more period.... when my trans went out, they told me my gears were grinded all the way down, when ford had sent out a letter saying that those transmissions have that problem, but warranty still wouldnt cover it, thats another reason every single one of my experiences at the ford dealership has been hell... i dont wanna go through that again. Ive gone to the lexus dealer with friends going to get their car worked on, they give them no problems no hassels or nothing, even gave them a new loaner car. i loved my svt, it was my dream car before i got it... but then i had it, and dont get my wrong i still love it i would take it back if i could, but theres just way too many problems with those cars, the money ive invested in fixing the car i could of paid it off by now.

Hmmmmm...looks like you were in the Ramchargers parking lot on Allen Road in Taylor? Am I right?
Sue them dude. Or whoever installed it owes you big time.
These cars are definitely not the best quality product ford has put out. But you take the good with the bad. Still not ford's fault your car caught on fire.
