Ok I think you are asking why it sparks when you connect the battery. I believe it is because you have the cap also hooked up and you are getting a current through the cap to the battery. All a cap really is, is a small compact battery used for short impulses of bass with the name of a capacitor.
The question is: If you unhook the cap, then hook up the battery, does it still spark?
