I had my back seat out because I was working on some sound deadening stuff, and I noticed when I was driving around last night that when I turn on the headlights.. the trunk light comes on.. is that normal ??

The trunk light or just the license plate lights? I have noticed it before, but thought it was just the license plate lights. Never actually investigated.

Okay.. with the 60/40 seats down, headlights on, you will see illumination from the inside of the license plate lights. Perfectly normal, albeit annoying. (Try having 10% tint all around, and seeing it at night... lol.. reflected in your RV mirror like crazy.. laugh

You could always cover it, from the inside, or something..

The Mystique has a panel inside the boot that covers these lights. If you cannot locate one at a boneyard you could always fab one out of fibreglass. It would only take a few hours to fab and cure.

thanks for the suggestions on covering it. The seat will be going back in today or tomorrow, I just thought it was the trunk light and found that odd smile

I believe Ford stopped making that cover and I know for a fact they don't make the inserts that go into them to cover the acces holes!
