That's exactly what i was thinking, that's why I asked. But I hear it's "tried and true"....



Brad had a large heatshield shielding a large portion of his filter.
He also used an insanely long filter that stuck down farther.

The first is a MUST.
The second is a skip it. (stick to a filter roughly 2 times your max cfm draw) Too large a filter can actually hurt performance.
