There are many opinions on this, here's mine.

If you cannot see well, get your headlights re-aimed or polish them.

High wattage bulbs work for a while, but they eventually tend to burn up the wiring and haze the inside of the headlight lens.

HID bulbs do not fit in a Contour light housing without extensive modifications.

Silver Stars rocks. I'm actually running Cuzos in my high and low beams. Just pretty blue lights that suck balls in the rain. But theyre pretty.

I got a set of the "Xenon SuperWhite" bulbs. I believe they were the Koba brand. I went with the stock wattage to avoid any possible wire damage.

From the outside of the car they do look cool, but there is one word to describe their performance--SUCKS. Either stick with stock bulbs, or take the risk and get the higher wattage "xenons."

By the way, I have no experience with silverstars or any name brand whites, but I hear they suck in the rain.

I disagree, I have the 9006 conversion from www.xenondepot.com (6500k)...they fit perfect with no modification and look absolutely incredible.

I think he was referring to the "Super-HID-Xenon-Million Watts-Performance" light bulbs a.k.a. regular bulbs tinted blue. If you want increased visibility, go with Silverstars (roughly $40 a pair) or the true HID conversion as listed above($400-$500). Or if all you're looking to do is look cool, put the "Super Duper Xenon Mega Wattage" bulbs in for about $10-$15. They actually decrease visibility, but they sure do look cool.
